Questions
The law Do I have to register my guests?
If you rent accommodation to travellers in Spain, yes: a holiday flat, a room or a country house. Royal Decree 933/2021 requires you to register every traveller and report their details to the Ministry of the Interior within 24 hours.
SES.Hospedajes Does ClicClac already send records to SES.Hospedajes?
Not yet: the connection is on its way. Today we collect each guest's details before they arrive. Until we switch the submission on, reporting them to the Ministry is still up to you.
Data Do you keep a photo of the ID?
No. The law asks for the document's details, not its image, and the Spanish Data Protection Agency considers keeping it excessive. We store only the fields, and each host sees only their own bookings.
The guest What does the guest see?
Your flat's name, their booking and the details the law asks for. When they send it they see a confirmation, and the code reaches them by email before arrival. No account, nothing to download.
Lock Do I need a smart lock?
No. With a smart lock we create the codes and take them away again. With a key box we send its code. With neither, we send the arrival instructions you wrote yourself.
Calendars Does it work with Booking or only Airbnb?
Both. We read .ics calendars, so it also works with Guesty or your own booking engine.
Exceptions What if the guest doesn't register?
They don't get the code. You see it in your dashboard, with the booking flagged, and you can copy their link to send it yourself.
